Ryan M. DesJardins
Ryan DesJardins's litigation practice bears the hallmarks of creativity and flexibility. Mr. DesJardins has represented scores of businesses and individuals during his years of private practice, achieving excellent results in insurance recovery claims and business disputes. His varied litigation experience has produced a practical approach with a competitive edge and an intense desire to achieve just results for his clients.
Mr. DesJardins began his legal career as a federal judicial clerk with Federal Magistrate Judge John D. Acosta, gaining crucial insight about the inner workings of the federal judiciary and some of the best means by which one can successfully leverage facts, rhetoric, and relationships to get results. Following his clerkship, Mr. DesJardins worked in the civil litigation and insurance recovery group at Patternoster Farnell & Grein. There, Mr. DesJardins worked on a wide variety of cases, running from hundred-million-dollar commercial insurance claims to corporate dissolution disputes to work on the Portland Harbor Superfund site and everything in between. Mr. DesJardins also gained experience in more personal and public-service areas of law while working at South Carolina Legal Services and the Oregon office of the Federal Public Defender. This interdisciplinary experience honed a unique approach to the practice of law that will benefit each and every one of his clients. This insight, along with Ryan’s intense dedication to his clients, earned him recognition as a rising star by Super Lawyers for the past four years.
Mr. DesJardins is originally from Michigan but has spent time living in South Carolina. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, as well as cycling, fishing, golfing, gardening, cooking, and attending concerts as often as possible.
